The Return of the Crazy Demon
An energetic introduction to murim where personality matters at least as much as the next technique.

09 / Setting
Murim.
Martial clans, honor and rival schools.
What it means
Murim is a Korean term used for a martial-arts world. The setting often features sects, alliances and techniques; cultivation is a related idea about refining power, not another word for the setting.
What to look for
Follow a sect’s position in society as closely as its strongest fighter.
Make reputation a resource
A technique determines what you can do in a fight. Standing in the martial world determines who trains you, who will witness a duel, and who can make its outcome stick.
- First playable test
- Give the player one afternoon before an inn dispute. They can relearn a counter or find someone who will witness the settlement. Track whether they win the fight and whether the inn gets what it needs.
