Opening recap4 notes
- A stolen relic closes his first life
Trapped by the Demonic Cult, Jaha swallows the Jade rather than hand it back. After the clash and fall, he encounters a figure who warns that unreturned souls will attach themselves to his. The episode then returns Jaha to a familiar room from his youth.
- The inn tells him when he is
His body is younger and bruised. Seeing the damaged inn and recalling how he was beaten help him place the moment. The neighborhood remembers the beating, while only Jaha remembers the martial career that came after it.
- A customer turns old debts into a confrontation
Jaha enters a drinking house where people still call him an errand boy. The staff treat him as a customer at first. Once a man threatens him and he retaliates, a demand for medical costs and the arrival of armed men turn the visit into a fight.
- Winning the fight leaves people to deal with
After Jaha puts several men down, the white-haired man negotiates to have the wounded treated. Jaha asks for a personal apology from the person he holds responsible. The confrontation moves from threats to terms without leaving the room.
Powers & world rules4 notes
- Memory and physical capability return at different levels
Jaha recognizes a familiar technique and wonders why he can relearn it so quickly. He also judges himself only about half as powerful as before. That number comes from his own assessment in the scene.
- Practice consumes time
Jaha notices how much time has passed while he works on the technique and feels hungry when he gets up. His retained knowledge accelerates the work, but training still takes time out of the day.
- The Jade sets up a specific return
The opening ties this return to the swallowed relic and a supernatural warning. It gives no example of Jaha selecting a checkpoint or deliberately repeating the reset.
- The town has its own rules of standing
People’s treatment of Jaha still follows his old job and reputation. The drinking house recognizes an obligation to serve a paying customer. The first demand for restitution comes from the house after Jaha injures someone on its floor.
Later story notes3 notesSelected spoilers from English WEBTOON episodes 6, 8, and 10.
- An opponent borrows credibility from his faction
The Jo brothers claim the Black Rabbit Clan backed their new organization. When Jaha gets the upper hand, the opponent invokes both his brothers and the clan to deter him. The threat comes from people outside the fight who may act afterward.
- Cultivation repeats the old path at a new speed
Jaha describes finishing the Wooden Fowl stage and reaching Fiery Fowl. He finds that he builds qi more quickly than he expected on this second pass and notices a physical change from entering the new stage. The episode gives two named stages and his assessment of his progress.
- The rebuilt inn gives the Low Down a different beginning
Jaha wants room for martial arts training when the damaged inn is rebuilt. He names his organization the Low Down, recalls founding it in his previous life, and says its people can keep doing their existing jobs. His plan makes an inn and the livelihoods around it part of the organization’s foundation.

Original game concept
A martial-arts tactics game set in one inn and the street outside. A veteran returns to a weaker body on the evening a protection racket takes over. Familiar moves are on the command list, and training unlocks enough stamina to use only one advanced technique before the meeting.
Core loop
- Check the old evening schedule and decide which remembered technique to practice.
- Choose witnesses and position the inn’s staff before the collectors arrive.
- Settle the encounter through a duel, a witnessed concession, or a protected exit, then see how each faction records the result.
- What the player decides
- Spend the afternoon recovering an advanced counter, or use it to bring in a witness who can make a public concession stick.
- First playable test
- One six-turn confrontation, three factions, two training options and one injured NPC who needs safe passage. Test whether players can explain how a physically won duel can still cost the inn its protection.
