Opening recap4 notes
- He picks his role while the campus comes under attack
The classroom receives a choice of role cards. Seongwu selects necromancer as the first goblins threaten the classroom. The first fight makes the consequences of that choice immediate, before the class has worked out whether the situation is confined to campus.
- Hanho has a role and still needs reassurance
Hanho initially recoils from the skeletons in the stairwell. Seongwu explains they are with him and learns that Hanho chose a one-star Rogue card. Their reunion shows how much the students still have to learn about one another’s choices.
- The building turns into a tactical and social problem
Survivors collect in a campus café while the fighting spreads through the building. Seongwu orders the stairs blocked to stop goblins escaping. He also weighs how to persuade the other survivors to help him take on the boss, which he thinks is their safest course.
- A familiar summon changes jobs
After the fight with the captain, a goblin skeleton absorbs the captain’s mana and gains a commander role and stronger defense. A unit from the opening encounter can gain a job of its own instead of remaining a disposable recruit.
Powers & world rules4 notes
- The role card gives a clue about rarity
The students can name their role and count its stars. Hanho reports one star for Rogue. That conversation shows that two classmates can begin with very different tools even when the same disaster gives them a choice.
- Command slots limit the first undead party
The interface reports that Seongwu has reached his command limit and later offers a stat choice on level-up. A body can be available while the current roster is already full.
- A loadout can change the payout as well as the fight
A dagger synergy appears during the campus fighting. Its panel lists a higher chance of a fatal strike and increased gold received. Equipment and combinations can change the outcome of a battle and how quickly the group accumulates resources.
- The composition of the party can trigger a bonus
The campus boss sequence displays a synergy tied to three swords and another tied to arming a one-armed warrior. The conditions involve what the group carries as well as what a particular unit can equip.
Later story notes3 notesEarly follow-up spoilers · licensed English WEBTOON episode 7
- Another leader treats the undead as a condition of entry
A survivor leader presents Seongwu’s skeletons as dangerous and demands that he destroy them if he wants to join. A squad that helped Seongwu survive the previous encounter now affects who is willing to work with him.
- Jisu challenges who gets to give orders
Jisu questions why the group should obey the president or join his party in the first place. When Seongwu asks about him later, she brings up his conduct before the outbreak. The apocalypse gives the students new roles while their previous relationships still shape their choices.
- The group’s picture of the campus is incomplete
Seongwu looks for the goblin groups he saw earlier and wonders where they went. Later in the episode, an armed orc appears. The first route through the campus has given the survivors useful experience, with more threats still outside their view.

Powers, rules and limits
- Chosen role and active cap
Role cards let Seongwu choose rather than wait for a profession assignment. The early interface reports a command cap and later offers an attribute choice. An available corpse and an open command slot answer different questions.
- Synergy and equipment
The campus boss fight shows a bonus associated with three swords and another associated with equipping a one-armed warrior. An existing recruit can gain a specialized role instead of simply being replaced by a stronger summon.

Safe Passage Committee
Original game concept
A crisis coordination game in a besieged community center. Skeletons follow orders. Volunteers weigh the risks, which means the player must make a plan worth joining before the last exit closes.
Core loop
- Read the floor forecast and learn what three survivors know. One has a key, one knows a maintenance shortcut and one can calm a stranded group.
- Spend two commands on skeletons and one conversation on a volunteer each turn. Publicly completed jobs change which people are willing to join.
- Reassign the skeleton carrying a scarce tool when the route changes. Evacuate whoever is ready and see what happened to the route and to the people who stayed.
- What the player decides
- Keep the experienced shield carrier in the visible hallway to demonstrate that the undead can help, or send it through an unseen shortcut to open an exit sooner.
- First playable test
- Four connected rooms, three volunteers, two skeletons, one barricade, two exits and six turns. Test whether players discover two workable plans and can tell why a survivor agrees to one of them.
