What it means
A character returns to an earlier point in their own timeline or repeats a period. Memories can become a resource and prior choices can have consequences the second time around.
What to look for
Separate information the protagonist knows from events they can still reliably predict after intervening.
Decide what crosses the reset
Track memory, physical ability, and relationships separately. The reset restores a known starting point. An early intervention can change which later forecasts still apply.
- First playable test
- Give the player two runs of a six-turn incident. Carry a clue across the reset. Move one threat in response to their first intervention, with a visible signal that the old forecast has changed.
